JLG partsJLG Industries was founded in 1969 in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, by John L. Grove. Its first aerial work platform was sold in 1970, and it has continued to be an innovative force in the industry to this day, even despite Grove's passing in 2003. Only eight years after its founding, JLG expanded overseas with European headquarters established in the UK. In 1983, six years later, JLG expanded again, but this time to Australia for support in Asia and the Pacific Islands.
By the year 2000, JLG had hit $1 billion in sales. In 2006, JLG was acquired by Oshkosh Truck Corporation, but has continued production under the JLG brand. Throughout its history, JLG constantly held records for its products, setting industry standards for "largest boom lift," "first tire designed exclusively for telehandlers," and the like. In 2019, JLG will celebrate its 50th birthday.
